NOTE: This is an ADVANCED kit! It requires electronics knowledge, soldering, and familiarity with raspberry pi projects. 
This kit is designed for use with a raspberry pi and a 3.5" PiTft Display.

UPDATE: The screen shown in the instructions is no longer available. However most 3.5" tft touch screens should work for this. The pins shown on the back of the adafruit screen simply give you access to the raspberry pi pins which are covered by the screen connector. 

If you use a 3.5" tft without those pins you can connect directly to the corresponding raspberry pi pins instead. You may have to do a little soldering to get access to the pins as the screen connector will cover all the pins on the raspberry pi.

The main connector should be the same pinout on all these displays, but you can simply update the pinouts in software if you happen to have one that is different.

This screen type has extra gpio pins exposed on the side connectors and should give you access without having to solder or hack together anything.
